The Deep Sea Speaks: Titanic’s Story Through its Artifacts (Free and open to the public)

Join me for a presentation on the story of Titanic’s artifacts—how Robert Ballard and Jean-Louis Michel located the infamous shipwreck in 1985 and how items brought up from the sea since have illuminated the lost history of Titanic as well as stirred up controversy. I’ll also discuss specific artifacts and the passengers who boarded with them.

Leander is a northern suburb of Austin.

The talk is free and open to the public!

Titanic Museum Attraction—Titanic Online Film Festival

I’m honored to work with the Titanic Museum Attraction to host an online film festival, running April 8-19! This online platform will host two historically important films: The Six, which examines the lives of Titanic’s Chinese passengers as well as the Chinese-American experience and 1943’s Nazi Titanic, which in its horrific origins as propaganda can teach us so much about 20th century social and political history.
